The general secretary of international peace movement Pax Christi will give a talk entitled “Shining a light on the power and creativity of nonviolence” for this year’s Anthony Storey Memorial Lecture. Pat Gaffney will reflect on current ways in which nonviolence is being expressed around the world and draw out links between the work of CNI and Fratelli Tutti and the Vatican Covid Commission. The lecture is held every year in memory of Father Anthony, pictured, a founding member of Middlesbrough Justice and Peace Commission and a tireless campaigner for peace and justice. The lecture will take place via Zoom on Saturday May 8 from 11am to 12.30pm. To register, please email bhungin@yahoo.co.uk. |
