St Thomas More’s Church, Middlesbrough, will hold a five-day SPUC Pro-Life Mission from September 27 to October 1.
Programme
Day one: Monday September 27
10.30am: Opening Mass
11am: Opening Presentation – “Open Wide the Doors to Christ: a Pro-Life Journey” (SPUC director of education and outreach Emmet Dooley)
11.30am: Workshop, “How to Hold a Successful Pro-Life Street Outreach”, followed by street outreach in Middlesbrough town centre
7pm: Holy Hour of Eucharistic Adoration
Day two: Tuesday September 28
10.30am: Mass
11am: Presentation, “Why I Speak Life” (SPUC youth and education officer Eden McCourt)
7pm: Presentation, “The Humanity of the Unborn” (Eden McCourt)
Followed by night prayer of the Church
Day three: Wednesday September 29
10.30am: Mass
11am: Presentation, “Helping Post-Abortion Men and Women” (SPUC campaign research officer and Her Voice facilitator Margaret Aker)
Day four – Thursday September 30
10.30am: Mass
11am: Presentation, “A Reflection on Marriage and Family Life” (Emmet Dooley)
7pm: Eucharistic Healing Service – This is especially open to anyone who has experienced any form of baby loss
Day five – Friday October 1
10.30am: Closing Mass – This will include an opportunity for married couples to renew their wedding vows
All events will take place at St Thomas More’s Church, Kirkham Row, Middlesbrough, TS4 3EE, except Wednesday’s events, which will take place at St Joseph’s Church, Park Road South, Middlesbrough, TS4 2RB.
