The Parish of St Anthony & Our Lady of Mercy in Hull is holding a series of organ recitals, starting this Saturday (June 21), with a recital from diocesan director of music Steven Maxson.
The music continues with Julian Savory, from St Mary’s, Cottingham, on Saturday August 2, and the church’s own organist, David Craggs, on Saturday September 27.
David said: “We are trying to encourage the use of the organ in our worship at St Anthony’s, not only in the accompaniment of the liturgy, but as a solo musical instrument in its own right.”
Admission is free, with donations to the Church Building Fund welcome.
Tea, coffee and biscuits will be served after the recitals.
