Shadow Foreign Secretary Applauds Diocesan Initiatives

Speaking recently on the subject of ‘Practical Politics, Principled Faith’ as part of the ‘Cardinal’s Lectures 2008 – Faith and Life in Britain’ the Rt Hon William Hague MP said,

“I am conscious… of the extraordinary work of many active members of this church throughout our country. Every few months I meet members of the Diocese of Middlesbrough, discussing over the years an immense variety of issues on which their questions are deeply thoughtful and very well informed, and I applaud the outstanding charitable work that they do, in their particular case funding and delivering vital equipment to a hospital in Baghdad.”

Mr Hague’s and other lectures can be watched or read at www.rcdow.org.uk/lectures

A book of the lectures can be purchased directly from Matthew James Publishing Limited (www.matthew-james.co.uk) priced £7.95 (excl. p&p)
