What is it like if you or someone in your family has mental health problems?

And what can your parish do to make a difference?

Find out at ‘Making Everybody Welcome’, the Families, Mental Health and Pastoral Care day conference at the Britannia Hotel, Wolverhampton on Saturday 20th October 2007.

With around one in six people developing a mental health problem at some point in their life many families turn to the Church for help and support.

The day conference, which will be opened by Bishop John Hine, the Chair of the Bishops’ Committee for Marriage and Family Life, includes presentations by service users, carers and mental health professionals and workshops covering a variety of practical responses.

Contact Edna Hunneysett on (01642) 818332 or through www.carersinthecommunity.org.uk for more details or download a conference leaflet for parish pastoral teams from www.everybodyswelcome.org.uk/mentalhealth.html
