Captain Paul Quinn has assumed the role of National Director for the Apostleship of the Sea in Great Britain; he commenced in the role on 17th April, succeeding Commodore Chris York who has retired after seven years overseeing the growth and development of this Catholic ministry to seafarers.
Paul Quinn is no stranger to the maritime environment having served for 37 years in the Royal Navy. He also brings extensive knowledge of Human Resource management; in his previous role he was responsible for personnel, chaplaincy and administrative support for the Royal Navy.
In his early days in the role, Paul has visited several ports, including in the north east region and will return in due course to visit further and meet AOS workers. Paul commented, -I am thrilled and delighted to join the AOS GB after a long career at sea and to work for and with all seafarers who come to Great Britain’.
