On Palm Sunday (16th March), the Youth Service is organising a walk from Sacred Heart Church, Linthorpe Road to St Mary’s Cathedral, Coulby Newham. The walk has been organised in conjunction with Middlesbrough Environment City.

The aim of the walk is to spend time together with opportunities along the way for liturgy and a brief history of the heritage of the Catholic Church in Middlesbrough. The walk will finish at the Cathedral with a closing liturgy and refreshments.

The event is being facilitated by the Youth Service, but we would welcome parishioners of all ages to take part. Any young person under 18 needs to remain under the supervision of an adult during the course of the day: parental consent forms will need to be completed by the parents/guardian of those children not accompanied by them on the walk.

Registration for the walk will begin at 12.30 pm at Sacred Heart Church. The walk will end at the Cathedral by 4.30 pm.
