Open Day at St George’s, York

Everyone’s welcome to come and visit St George’s, York on Saturday 20th June between 10am and 4pm for its Open Day.

Opened in 1850 and designed by Charles and Joseph Hansom, famous for the Hansom cab, St George’s stands between Walmgate and Piccadilly within the city walls, close to Fishergate Bar. As well as looking around this historic church, there will be a chance during the day for prayer and reflection, music from the magnificent organ, information on parish life, refreshments and more.

Whether you live in York, are visiting, or shopping in the city centre, you are warmly invited to drop by and have a look around.
