The Retreat Day, in preparation for the Rite of Election, will be on Saturday 14th February 2009 at All Saints Lower School, Nunnery Lane, York. Would you please invite all who are to be baptised or received into the Catholic Church at Easter to attend, together with their sponsors, godparents and catechists. The invitation is also extended to all RCIA groups, even though the parish may not have any candidates this year.
The day will be led by Bishop Terence Patrick Drainey. As in previous years, the catechumens and candidates will be presented with a copy of the Lord’s Prayer during the day. The Retreat will start at 11.00 am (coffee and registration from 10.30 am) and close at 2.30 pm. Tea and coffee will be provided but those attending should bring a packed lunch. Application forms will be sent to each parish after Christmas.
