‘Taste and See’ – A Day of Bite-Sized Prayer and Spirituality

Saturday 26th April 2008 in York’s city centre churches

Taste and See offers an opportunity to experience different ways of prayer and spiritual traditions through worship, workshops and discussion.

With a choice of over 20 different workshops in York’s city centre churches, Taste and See will be enlightening, creative, and maybe even challenging. Workshops will cover topics such as Lectio Divina, Ignatian prayer, Circle dancing, Celtic prayer, Liturgical prayer, Carmelite spirituality, Praying in the desert, Peace and Justice, Charismatic prayer, and Praying with icons. This ecumenical event will involve Roman Catholics in partnership with the Anglican Diocese of York and others.

Taste and See will take place on Saturday 26th April and begins with coffee and registration in York Minster at 9.30 am, followed by an opening act of worship and keynote address by the Bishop of Selby. The day finishes at 4.00 pm.

To book a place for yourself or your group (£10.00 per person), please e-mail tasteandsee@coreyork.org, telephone (01904) 619489, or write to CoRE York, 12 Topcliffe Mill, Topcliffe, Thirsk, YO7 3RZ.
