The Catholic Primary Schools Cup Annual Football Tournament

The twelfth annual Catholic Primary Schools Cup Football Tournament is to be held on Saturday 10th May 2008 at the splendid joint site of Sacred Heart Comprehensive and St Benedict’s Primary Schools, Mersey Road, Redcar.

Thirty four of our Primary Schools have entered a total of 83 teams (50 boys and 33 girls) in the separate competitions which make up the tournament, the format for which remains as in previous years. Matches of six-a-side playing on suitably sized pitches with official referees overseeing games played in group stages initially with successful teams progressing to the knock out stages. Also, cups for the winners and runners up in each competition, and the usual additional features of Fair Play trophies, Best Banner Award, Most Original Pennant Award, Spot Prizes, Commemorative (and complimentary) team photographs, and as is traditional, with each participating child receiving a commemorative medal.

We hope to provide another great day for all participants and spectators to remember.
